The Newport Restaurant Fife

Welcome to The Newport, situated on the southern bank of the River Tay, in the heart of Newport on Tay, Fife. Jamie Scott, Chef Patron, and his team aim to create a destination, a unique visit and dining experience.

The building’s design has panoramic windows over two floors within the restaurant and boasts some of the best sunsets in Scotland. We hope to reflect on the beauty of our surroundings and showcase the bountiful larder in our menus.

All guest rooms in the hotel are fitted with a kettle. The rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV, and some units at The Newport Restaurant with Rooms have a city view.

A Full English/Irish breakfast is available every morning at the accommodation. At The Newport Restaurant with Rooms you will find a restaurant serving Scottish and Seafood cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and vegan options can also be requested.

A casual, informal, friendly dining restaurant emphasises locally sourced natural, seasonal & sustainable food that changes with each new season. We aim to source our ingredients locally and sustainably, many from the restaurant’s dedicated producers. Still, we like to look further afield if it’s something we are very passionate about. So all the dishes change regularly depending on which locally grown and reared ingredients are at their best.

We are committed to developing close relationships with local suppliers, and menus are created around the best available seasonal produce from the variety of Scotland’s natural larder, only using the absolute best of Fife, Angus & the surrounding area.
