Situated in the heart of the beautiful Westport Quay, The Helm’s luxury purpose built apartments are your home away from home. We offer delicious food, attractive accommodation, and warm Irish hospitality. The Helm provides Bed and Breakfast throughout the year in our eighteen modern and spacious self-catering apartments situated adjacent to The Helm Bar and Restaurant on Westport Quay.
The Helm is unique in that we are able to provide bed and breakfast in our self-catering apartments. Accommodation is provided in our eighteen one, two and three bedroom apartments and breakfast is served daily between 8am and 11am in The Helm Restaurant.
Guests of The Helm also have complimentary access to the Leisure Centre and Gym in the nearby Carlton Atlantic Coast Hotel. In our bar, we also have free Wi-Fi access that our guests will be able to use.

In 2000, The Helm launched it’s new renovated pub and restaurant. Since then, The Helm’s restaurant has gained a reputation both locally and further afield for it’s friendly atmosphere, great food and consistent quality.
Using the finest of ingredients sourced from local suppliers combined with our chefs years of experience we have managed to keep a consistency of quality throughout the years that has meant that many of our customers come back time and time again.
The Helm’s lively and friendly atmosphere and live music nightly in our Olde World Bar has throughout the years drawn many a mixture of locals and visitors from all around Ireland and much further afield alike. If your visiting Westport, The Helm is most certainly a pub worth visiting. Our bar is open seven nights a week, all year round and is situated in a beautiful location on Westport Quay overlooking Westport Harbour.
