Our luxurious country house is available for exclusive hire with accommodation for up to 22 guests. Surrounded by acres of picturesque pastureland, Muckrach offers luxurious accommodation for that special family holiday, a catch up with friends or a special event.

Built in 1861 as a shooting lodge for the large estate of Clan Grant, Muckrach Country House changed hands several times, and was even used as a convalescent home for wounded soldiers during World War I & II. Muckrach has retained much of it’s historic charm, with many of the original features of the house, such as the grand staircase and ornate plasterwork, still intact. The property is a testament to the enduring beauty and allure of Scotland’s rich architectural heritage.

Our eleven bedrooms offer the ultimate in luxury and comfort. Each room has been uniquely designed in a contemporary Scottish style and furnished with the finest fittings. The en-suite bathrooms are finished with Porcelnosa tiles, rainfall showers and white fluffy towels.

Quiet moments can be found in the library that is furnished sumptuously in rich reds and blues and is complete with cosy log burning stove, making it the perfect place to read your favourite book or become your private office away from home. The Library can also double up as a beautiful private dining room for up to 10 guests.

Our cosy snug is the perfect place to rest and relax, especially in the colder months as it features a warming log burning stove. The snug also has direct access to the front terrace with outdoor seating and a hot tub to the side.
