Mickley B&B is a luxury Bed and Breakfast 5 miles north west of the historical city of Ripon, which is, we believe, the oldest and 4th smallest city in England and tradition has it that the Town Crier blows his horn every evening at 21:00 to signify the setting of the watch, this has been done every night for well over 1000 years!

Mickley is one of the most traditional and unspoilt villages in Nidderdale’s AONB and is situated between the North York Moors and The Yorkshire Dales.

We opened in 2012, having converted two of our spare rooms into two very comfortable and well equipped B&B bedrooms. We have very high standards and our guests’ wellbeing and comfort is our priority, nothing is too much trouble for us and we try to ensure that our guests enjoy their time here being looked after in the manner in which they would like to become accustomed!

We are a Child-Friendly and Dog-Friendly B&B, but please advise of bringing either or both when booking. We have a high chair, a changing mat and books and toys you can borrow, all free of charge. We also have a dog’s water bowl, dinner bowl and dog towels you can borrow.

There is room for a couple of children to be with their parents in The Amber Suite, a nominal charge will be made for this – please ask. We do not have camp beds so parents will have to provide sleeping bags, pillows and camp beds for their children.

Breakfast at Mickley’s’ is definitely worth getting out of bed for! Cooked to order, from pan to plate to guest; it is certainly a tailored breakfast experience you will not forget. Or if you are not a Full English breakfast type of person, we could give you a lighter continental breakfast, which if you felt like being spoilt you could always have as breakfast-in-bed.

Wherever possible we get local ingredients, sometimes we have to go slightly further afield but we always try to remain in Yorkshire. Should you require something extra for breakfast, like fresh fruit, please just ask when booking your room.

Our Bedrooms at Mickley B&B come with the following as standard.

The finest Egyptian cotton bed linen, feather and down duvets and pillows. Non-feather on request.
A tea tray with kettle, selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits as well as a carafe of freshly filtered water.
Large white Egyptian cotton towels and white Egyptian cotton dressing gowns.
Ample drawer and hanging space.
Two hot water bottles.
A hair dryer.
