Welcome to Gellihaf House; a family-owned and run boutique bed & breakfast set in the historic and beautiful Rhymney Valley.

Perfectly situated for your golf break, with seven golf courses within ten miles of Gellihaf House.

Your hosts Catherine and Howard fell in love with the place the moment they saw it and they are confident you will too. Built in the style of the Arts and Crafts Movement on the site of a historical farmhouse which had been in the ownership of Catherine’s family several generations ago, it retains many of its original features which have been restored sympathetically to the era of its design.

The expansive and diverse gardens offer you a range of options for outdoor relaxation and are all available for your pleasure. Your hosts believe in providing exceptional accommodation, comfort and service, to make your stay at Gellihaf House both delightful and truly memorable. 

Having ascended the imposing staircase and arrived at the spacious landing, visitors can benefit from a choice of three welcoming bedrooms; all named after local rivers to engender a ‘sense of place’. All our rooms offer high levels of comfort, which create a peaceful and relaxing environment. Each room has been individually designed by Catherine and Howard and are beautifully finished with soft furnishings handmade by Catherine, featuring fine fabrics from Iliv, Cotswold Collection, for that personal touch.

The Taff and Rhymney rooms boast king sized sleigh beds, with the Sirhowy room having twin double sized sleigh beds. All our beds are fitted with deep ‘Silent-night’ mattresses and four hundred thread count ‘Kensington’ cotton linen ensuring a comfortable nights sleep. Spacious en-suite bathrooms are quipped with standing showers and deep soaking bathtubs, and are provided with luxury towelling and bathrobes for your comfort.

Finally, all rooms are equipped with ‘Smart’ televisions, high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, complementary tea and coffee and finally, European multi plugs and hair dryers are located in the chest of drawers.

We take pride in serving you the first meal of the day made from a selection of fresh, locally sourced Welsh products. Each morning we will prepare for you a breakfast of your choice in a relaxed and informal environment which we hope will provide the perfect start to your day.

Not just a B&B; Gellihaf House is also pleased to offer you one of the finest British traditions; that of taking Afternoon or Cream Tea. Our Afternoon Teas will present you with a mouth watering array of home made patisseries and cakes, a selection of finely cut sandwiches to order and freshly baked scones with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve all accompanied by a selection of loose leaf teas. We will of course put a Welsh spin on our teas by using locally sourced ingredients where possible. Currently only available for residents of Gellihaf House.
