As one of the finest Clare Hotels, the Falls Hotel & Spa is nestled in a wooded vale beside the tumbling waters of the River Inagh. The distinctive building known today as the Falls Hotel & Spa in Co. Clare conceals within its walls an eighteenth century mansion, a late medieval castle, and a formidable history of four and a half centuries embracing clans and warfare, landlords and tenants, poets, dreamers and entrepreneurs. The Falls Hotel & Spa is one of the finest spa hotels in Ireland and is a popular location for hotel breaks in Clare for families, couples, groups and individuals.

The Falls Hotel & Spa is one of the most popular wedding hotels in Clare, offering superb food, service and expertise plus stunning photographic opportunities in and around the hotel.

The hotel is privately owned and managed by the McCarthy Family and you will always receive a warm and friendly welcome when staying in the Falls Hotel & Spa.

The hotel facilities include 140 bedrooms, 9 self-catering apartments, one large self-catering cottage, the Dylan Thomas Bar, the Cascades Restaurant, the Thai River Restaurant, wedding and banqueting facilities, the Aqua & Fitness Leisure Club and River Spa.

The Falls Hotel & Spa is located in the town of Ennistymon, yet it is surrounded by 50 acres of grounds and has wonderful riverside and woodland walks around the property.

The hotel’s bar is named after the Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas as his wife Caitlin McNamara’s family lived in the original manor house before it became a commercial property. Caitlin’s father “Francis returned to his ancestral home in 1936 and to make ends meat, entered the realms of common trade by turning the house into a Country Hotel.”, John F Wood.

This May the hotel is hosting the first Dylan Thomas Literary Weekend on 18th – 20th May 2012. The three days will include lectures, reading and a historical tour through the town of Ennistymon. Speakers over the weekend include Andrew Lycett, Robert Minhinnick and John F. Deane. Full schedule for the Dylan Thomas Literary Weekend is located in the Meeting & Events section of the hotel website.
