Barclay Farmhouse offers first-class luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in the quiet historic village of Biddenden, in the heart of Kent. The accommodation is based around a former farmhouse and outbuildings dating back over 200 years, with extensive grounds and a convenient location close to the coast, local attractions, picturesque towns and villages, spectacular scenery and unspoilt countryside.

Barclay Farmhouse provides a retreat, with stylish, comfortable, quiet and private accommodation set back 100 metres from the road and its own beautiful gardens with wildlife pond, providing a great bolt-hole and getaway for a quiet few days relaxation, contemplation or thought. It is an excellent base for exploring and enjoying all the local area has to offer.

We are located four miles south of Headcorn, which boasts a main line station for trains to London, small shopping complex, local stores, pubs and restaurants, three miles north the charming, bustling town of Tenterden, with its antique shops, tea-rooms, Leisure Centre and swimming pool, the Kent & East Sussex steam railway, and five miles east of Cranbrook.

Our accommodation has been awarded the highest 5 * rating by VisitBritain Quality in Tourism with, once again, a Gold Award accolade. Gold and Silver Awards are given to hotels and guest accommodation that provide exceptional quality in all areas but in particular in service and hospitality.

We regret that, due to the danger of the large deepwater pond at the front of the property, we are unable to accommodate children. We have, therefore, furnished the rooms to a very high standard, with the complete comfort of adult guests in mind.

Our guests have complete freedom of movement to and from our self-contained barn accommodation wing. There is ample off-road car parking available.

We are proud to be listed on Alastair Sawday's 'Special Places To Stay'
