Broome Manor Golf Club is one of the youngest golf clubs in Wiltshire (founded in 1977) but has established itself as one of the most competitive and successful in the county. It is based at Broome Manor Golf Complex, home to two courses – an 18-hole and 9-hole.
Broome Manor Golf Club’s most well-known past member is David Howell (see ‘Our History’ page) but can also boast several other members over the years who have represented their country. More recently, Olivia Bannon represented Wales under 16 Girls’ v Ireland in March 2019, the first player from Broome Manor to represent Wales.
Other fabulous achievements include our junior team reaching the finals of the 2019 English Junior Team Championships at Woodall Spa & Jack Mawer winning his age group at the US Kids Caribbean Championships.
We have a very active and strong junior section, split into Cubs, Tigers, Super Tigers – a great way to get into the game and make new friends. We work closely with Swindon Premier Golf Academy, based at the Complex and organise many junior competitions throughout the year. One of our most prestigious junior events is the Tiger Cup, held in October each year. In true Ryder Cup style, the teams represent Europe and USA with much rivalry between them. This has become quite well-known in the county and beyond, with good luck messages received last year from David Howell and Francesco Molinari! For more information on what’s on offer for junior golfers, visit the Junior Golf section.
We welcome golfers of all ages and abilities to become members of the club and offer an extensive competitive programme for all sections.
