Tir y Coed Country House
The perfect retreat for all seasons.
Surrounded by an acre of mature landscaped gardens on the edge of Rowen, one of the Conwy Valley's most delightful villages and just within the boundary of the Snowdonia National Park. Tir y Coed is situated four miles from the mediaeval walled town of Conwy.
Tir y Coed Country House is a haven of peace and tranquillity nestling in over and acre of beautiful, mature landscaped gardens. Built as a Gentlemans residence in 1896, the house has many large sunlit windows filling it with warm, bright and welcoming light. The far reaching views from Rowen, the most perfect and picturesque village in the Conwy Valley, extend to the magnificent mountains beyond. Just four miles away lies the coast and world heritage site, the mediaeval town of Conwy with its majestic Edwardian castle towering dramatically as the gateway to the North Wales coast.
Our aim is to make your stay as comfortable as possible... crisp white linen, deep duck down duvets, and plump feather pillows all add to a peaceful and relaxing nights sleep. Luxurious fabrics and attention to detail ensures each bedroom becomes a perfect retreat, your home from home. Our rooms vary in size and style as would be expected in a period house and all have an immaculate en-suite bathroom or shower room.
We use the freshest local produce to create menus which change daily...
Homemade soups and pâtês, delicious racks of Welsh lamb, the finest Welsh black beef, imaginative vegetarian dishes, the freshest locally caught fish... and of course mouth watering desserts. All complemented by a bottle of wine (or two!) from our cellar.
Relax after dinner with coffee in the drawing room, garden sitting room or in the warmer months, on the south facing balcony overlooking the gardens.
