The 4-star Green Hotel has 46 spacious bedrooms. Dine in style in the award-winning Basil’s Restaurant or relax in Jock’s Bar. Enjoy our varied menus that feature a subtle blend of Modern International cuisine with some Scottish influences. The Shop at the Green is an Aladdin’s Cave for unique and original gifts.

As well as two 18 hole Golf Courses, the hotel offers a Curling Rink (Sept-Apr) and trout fishing on Loch Leven. Kinross is the perfect base to explore Edinburgh, Fife and the Perthshire countryside. Known as the gateway to the Highlands, Kinross-shire nestles around Loch Leven where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned in 1567 on Castle Island.
For a small county Kinross-shire is rich in history and natural beauty.

Many castles including Edinburgh Castle and Glamis Castle, whisky distilleries and the historic town of St Andrews all within an hours’ drive.

Our two 18-hole golf courses can be found opposite The Green Hotel.

The Montgomery Course, Kinross

The Montgomery lies in beautiful, unspoilt parkland bordering Loch Leven. Undulating greens, streams, ponds and enticing tree-lined fairways provide a challenging round to both low and high handicap golfers alike. A number of holes have views over Loch Leven to the hills beyond.

The Bruce Course, Kinross

The Bruce remains a thoroughly enjoyable test of golf. There are not many courses where the outward nine holes is Par 39 including a sequence of no less than four Par 5s in six holes – punctuated by the infamous pond hole – the 6th.
