Welcome to Sampsons Farm, where we love to look after you!

If you yearn for true English country hospitality, in an old country house then you might just fall in love with Sampsons. This is a happy place…. Our tudor thatched farm house in the countryside is older than Shakespeare. Warm, snugly and welcoming, with centuries old black oak beams and panelling; crackling log fires, and rare breed hens under the apple trees, we are probably the opposite of a Boutique Hotel.

We can’t offer lacquered surfaces, designer bathrooms, and exotic staff, but we do have a relaxed, informal charm that’s a reminder of a time when the pace of life was less driven.

Sampsons Farm is a popular eating-place for local folk with a constantly changing blackboard. We have a stylish new outside dining area for lunches dinners and coffees, a new grill menu for hungry diners and plans for barbecues too.

All of our fifteen rooms at Sampsons Farm are cosy and comfortable, and they all have the advantage of being really close to our fantastic restaurant! Most of them have beautiful views over the fields; orchard; the chickens, or thatch. We have lots of different rooms spread out around a series of courtyard barn conversions and the Grade Two Listed thatched house: suites, apartments, doubles and twins, to suit all budgets…and all our en-suite rooms come with free Wi-fi; most with flat screen TV; ; tea and coffee and hairdryers, as you’d expect. And then, after your good night’s sleep from all that country air, you have the amazingly lavish, freshly cooked Sampsons Farm breakfast to look forward to in the characterful old thatched farmhouse, buffet and full english £10.50 per person, buffet only £7.50 per person. I wonder which hen laid your eggs for breakfast?
