Originally built around 1470 as a guest residence for the monks of Evesham Abbey, Salford Hall was extended in Tudor times into a gracious family manor. Since then it has come down to us unchanged, as a part of England’s heritage & is Grade 1 listed for architectural and historical interest.
This unique charm is combined with all the comforts of modern day. As you enter the hotel oak panelling greets you, with a massive Tudor fireplace, glowing with log fires in winter. Along one side of the reception area runs the medieval screens passage, while oak doors lead to a former courtyard, now a bougainvillea bright conservatory.
The 34 bedrooms are all different, each with its own individual charm and are situated in two buildings, the Main Hall and Tudor Court, a former coach house and granary, enclosing a garden. Salford Hall is a very romantic building and the perfect place to celebrate your wedding or any special occasion and there are several rooms to choose from, including the Regent Room with oak panels and beautiful mullioned windows overlooking the gardens. The Hawkesbury Room, which was the original kitchen, is now a wonderfully atmospheric room with black oak beams and mullioned windows used for small private dinner parties or meetings.
The Stratford Bar is perfect for that pre-dinner drink with oak panelling and deep leather armchairs. Guests may relax in the Conservatory or on the patio in the walled garden leading from the Stratford Bar. Our award-winning restaurant is the Stanford Room and this has an extensive wine list to complement our Chef, Paul Napper's, food.
Other facilities for our guests' use include snooker, sauna, solarium and tennis. Ideally situated for exploring the wonderful countryside you'll just return time and time again to visit another area.
