As one of Troon’s hotels of long standing repute, and set in lovely landscaped grounds, Piersland House has been at the forefront of providing hospitality and hotel accommodation to Troon and Ayrshire residents and visitors alike for nearly 50 years.

Now Piersland House Hotel, the original Piersland Lodge was built as a private residence in 1899 by the renowned Scottish architect William Leiper, and the home for Sir Alexander Walker, grandson of Johnnie Walker, founder of the internationaly famous Scotch whisky firm, Johnnie Walker. Sir Alexander was Managing Director of Johnnie Walker Whisky and created Johnnie Walker Red and Black labels.

The hotel is located opposite the Royal Troon Golf Course, world renowned location of the British Open Golf Championship. It remained a family home until its conversion into a hotel in 1956 but it still retains the original country house character. The hotel’s terrace is wonderful for alfresco eating during the summer and the hotel is also a fine hotel wedding venue for Troon and Ayrshire.
