This exquisite Baronial Manor House offers nine rooms of individual style and character. Each room has en-suite bathroom, radio/alarm, direct dial telephone and wide-screen plasma televisions with freeview channels. The spacious rooms all have a studio facility with newly installed wireless connection enabling guests to continue their business in a relaxing atmosphere, and all rooms offer stunning views over the Estate and surrounding Aberdeenshire countryside. This Grade 'B' listed lodge house originally dates from 1851 and offers all the charm and character of a traditional building together with all the conveniences of a 5 bedroom luxury house. All rooms are en-suite and the house has a fully fitted kitchen, large well-lit and comfortable lounge and separate dining area. What could be a better way for your party to enjoy all the facilities and style that Meldrum House has to offer. Available for exclusive let for up to 10 people. Enjoy a home from home. Due to Health and Safety reasons the Chain Lodge is sold as bed and breakfast only and no cooking facilities are available.
As you drive through the graceful arch into the picturesque grounds of Meldrum House and wynd along the tree and rhododendron-lined drive, you know there is something special in store. The majestic course sweeps across the tranquil grounds of historic Meldrum House, dotted with picturesque woodland. Several water features and an abundance of wildlife.
When the course was first conceived the word compromise was struck from the dictionary. We set out to create one of the finest golf experiences in Scotland. Although the Scots gave the world the game of golf. Europe and America have led the way in providing first class facilities. Meldrum House Golf Club has captured that expertise and brought it home.
The 6.379 yard par 70 course was designed by local loon Graeme Webster. Graeme grew up exploring the grounds of the House hunting for reputed secret passageways. He has designed courses all over the world and was delighted to return home and create his tour de force. The site always presented an opportunity to create a masterpiece. The unearthing of several undiscovered ponds during early site clearances complemented those envisaged by Graeme and they have been incorporated in the final layout.
