Welcome to the Glen-yr-Afon House Hotel.
The Glen-Yr-Afon is a privately owned Victorian Villa situated in the lovely rural county of Monmouthshire in South Wales. The original house was built in 1868 and overlooks the banks of the River Usk.
The small picturesque town of Usk is just a stroll from the Hotel. The attractive former market town boasts many places of historical interest including the town bridge, Usk castle, a Rural Life Museum and Twyn Square which is a riot of colour in Summer during the flowering season.
Among the many unique features of the hotel, guests will find that each of its 27 rooms are different. From the four-poster bridal suite to family rooms, all are individual in character and shape due to the villa's architecture. Furnished to a high standard, every room is fully en suite with trouser press, television, telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and most have views of the hotel's spacious gardens. Along with family rooms we have a room with wheelchair and passenger lift access close by.
The recent addition of Complimentary Wireless Broadband in all of our bedrooms and throughout the whole hotel means that all guests can keep in touch with their business and friends at all times.
Our award winning Clarkes restaurant is open from 7pm and serves light meals through to an excellent selection of a la carte dinners .
