The Forest Hills Hotel is a family run hotel, located in Scotland's golfing mecca of Fife, is a comfortable 16th century coaching inn style hotel, is located in Auchtermuchty, close to Cupar, St Andrews, Perth and only one hours drive from Edinburgh Airport.
The location of the Forest Hills Hotel makes it an ideal place to stay for touring, golf holidays, fishing breaks or many other activities on offer. The hotel sits in the centre of the town of Auchtermuchty, famous for Sir Jimmy Shand, a highly respected accordion player, and the backdrop to the TV series "Dr Findlay's Casebook". In the 1800's this was a busy textile village but now, Auchtermuchty is quiet haven for travelers passing through Fife, and many on there way to St Andrews. This year's Auchtermuchty Festival will run from Friday 6 August to Sunday 15 August 2010.
Golfing Breaks in Fife
The village is set on the main route (A91) from Kinross, through Cupar and onto St Andrews, but within easy reach, there are over 50 golf courses to choose from. After all, not everyone can afford to play The Old Course !! But there are some great hidden gems for you to enjoy a golfing weekend or longer breaks.
