Situated just two and a half miles from Brampton Golf Club and less than ten miles from Carlisle Golf Club, Farlam Hall is a large old Border manor house set in 12 acres of gardens and paddocks and sheltered by ancient trees. It was extended twice in the 1800's from the original four room fortified farm house to the size it is today.
Downstairs at Farlam there are two large drawing rooms both with open fires and comfortable seating. There is always seating for all the guests.We have no bar area but are happy to serve drinks in the garden, drawing rooms or in your room.
The dining room is a huge room with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the garden and ornamental lake and allow the light to flood in. During the quieter times we are able to divide the room which does not spoil the feel but creates a more intimate room. This can also be arranged for private parties of up to 22 people.
We offer a small menu that changes daily. this allows us to use the best of local produce and avoids our residents being presented with the same selection every day.
12 double/twins all with private bathroom. 2 are on the ground floor one of which is a four poster bedroom with only a bathroom - no shower and the other a twin. 1 is located in a stable conversion a few moments walk from the hotel.
We have been established here since 1975 and our ratings are unique in this area.
