The Downcliffe House Hotel in Filey has been refurbished to recapture its former Victorian Glory, but with all the comforts expected by today's discerning customer. Nestling between Filey Bay, with Filey Brigg, and Crescent Hill it is sheltered from the cold Westerly winds; there is nowhere else quite like it on the North Yorkshire Coast, whether you are wanting just bed and breakfast or good food in our restaurant, which always has seafood on offer; this is the place to take your holidays in Filey.

And we are only a few minutes drive from the larger resorts of Scarborough and Bridlington where you can find all the facilities of a large town including theatres and cinemas. The famous and busy town of Whitby is also within driving distance.
Our most popular rooms are the two mini suites which are on the first and second floors; each has a large king size bed and a separate seating area and have lovely views out over Filey bay.
Also very popular is the four poster bedroom which is ideal for that special anniversary or memorable event.
