Golf courses near Cefn-y-Dre

Welcome to our historic home on the fringe of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and little more than a mile from the coast and town of Fishguard.

Standing in one and a half acres of garden and looking across to the Preseli Hills (source of the famous Bluestones used to construct Stonehenge) we are surrounded by mature and majestic trees. Such a location makes us perfect for discovering the coast and landscape of this enchanting corner of Wales and makes us the perfect base for your golf break.

Considering that our home was occupied even before Henry VIII came to the throne, and almost 100 years before the Spanish Armada, it is no surprise to find Cefn-y-Dre listed as one of the Historic Homes of Pembrokeshire.

Cefn-y-Dre, in its 500 year history, has welcomed many travellers, from Prime Ministers to the leader of the successful 1953 Everest expedition. More recently we have seen politicians, authors, composers, artists, pianists and guests from all over the world enjoying the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere here in the Pembrokeshire countryside.

We pride ourselves on offering bedrooms of the highest standard together with a breakfast that has been called a banquet! In addition to striving to provide you with the best of everything, we also believe in making you most welcome in our home.

Accommodation is provided in three spacious rooms, two of which are en-suite with the third having a private bathroom. A guest lounge, without television (but with a baby grand) and looking across the garden, is always available for you to enjoy the tranquility of Cefn-y-Dre while sensing the 500 years of history all around you. Dinner can be provided if booked in advance, and being licensed, you can choose from a selection of beers, wines or spirits at very reasonable prices.
