Sheerness Golf Club is situated on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. Once described in Golf Monthly as one of Kent's best kept secrets, this links type course can be a tough test for even the most gifted of golfers.
Sheerness Golf Club holds a firm reputation for being one of the toughest courses in Kent - but also one of the best. Whatever you think of the yardage and whatever you think of what lies ahead of you on the first tee, make no mistake - Sheerness is a tough test of golf to even the most gifted of player. Even the 5th hole, with a stroke index of 18, could leave you in tears!
The course has matured and a variety of new challenges have added to the degree of difficulty. One aspect at Sheerness which will do more to ruin your card is the wind. It, seemingly, never lets up and can play havoc with your club selection on more than a few occasions.
Golf Societies:
Golf societies and corporate days are welcome at Sheerness Golf Club.
We can suggest different formats for competitions to make your day more enjoyable, provide nearest the pin & longest drive markers, and can even do the scoring if required.
Whilst handicap certificates are not required to play, a good standard of golf and knowledge of etiquette is expected.
You can add whatever level of catering you require to fit around your golf. The catering facility offers a wide range of meals for your day, from home made soup and sandwiches to a three course meal.
