Elsham Golf Club was established in 1900 and celebrated its centenary year by becoming Lincolnshire Champions in 2000. Enjoy the challenge of 18 holes around Elsham Golf Club. Our tranquil, well wooded course with an abundance of wildlife will provide you with the setting for a truely memorable day. You will enjoy a relaxing round on this easy walking course but it will test your ability to think your way round. Perhaps you can recreate some of the glory rounds of players such as Honary Member Tony Jacklin. Elsham Golf Club lies on the eastern edge of the Ancholme Valley, not far from the escarpment of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Each hole presents its own particular test to scratch and higher handicaps alike. After a straightforward par four start, the second hole presents a challenge. This 350 yard par 4 has a sharp dog leg to the right and an accurate tee shot is needed to present the best opportunity for a short iron second to a gentle undulating green guarded by trees and a stream on the left. After a round golfers will enjoy a visit to the welcoming and modern clubhouse which accommodates both large and small societies. Tony Jacklin is an Honorary Member and opened the new Clubhouse in 1990. During the hectic years following his Open Championship and US Open Championship wins he played most of his non-tournament golf at Elsham. Tony Jacklin stated "It was a delight to get back to the tranquility of Elsham, although, as I recall, the course was always good value for whatever the standard scratch was." ...
